| Beware
the road more travelled by
The herds that thunder there
Will tramp you underfoot and not
Give pause to think and care
Beware the open thoroughfares
And seek the hidden ways
For those will hold the secret scenes
Of bygone halcyon days
I sought a way so hidden once
And found secluded light
Of sun and where the wind did rest
And water did ignite
The sunset lay upon that place
And touched my heart with light
And ever since, I find myself
Adrift, without that sight
I seek that place and hope I may
Find it around the bend
Until I do, the hidden ways
Will be solace and friend
