yet with his mind on the wing
thinking of much grander things
he was blind to his own situation

one purpose only
never knew he was lonely
never noticed his own isolation
until a spirit so bold
with a heart of pure gold
offered love without reservation
like a warm spring rain
she brings him life again
and in the warm spring rain his cares are scattered
and
as their hearts become one
beneath the moon and the sun
his eyes fill with tears of elation
the mere thought of her touch
lifts his spirit so much
that he knows without hesitation
that
she's captured his soul
that her love makes him whole
that he'll love her without limitation
as the Sky does the Earth
in life's yearly rebirth
through their love's sacred consummation
in
a warm spring rain
that brings life again
when in a warm spring rain the seed is scattered
